lyrics
[God of the arcade you’ve been forsaken
God of the arcade you’ve been mistaken
Go to the arcade for stimulation
Join the old school generation]
Whatever happened to the arcade
I see a devolution in da last decade
Crap that comes and gold that goes
The glory of a golden age nobody knows
I used to be a wonder boy in monster land
You're playing with monster toys in wonderland
You say you’ll never be coin-operated
(But) by CD ROMs you are sedated
Flicky, Bomb Jack, Lady Bug
I wanna feel the thrill of the multiplier
Xevious, Pac Man and Dig Dug
Namco owns the meta layer
Bubble Bobble in Super Mode
I wanna see the ending in multiplayer
Double Dragon hits the road
I’m gonna use the elbow Willie say a prayer
[God of the arcade you’ve been forsaken
God of the arcade you’ve been mistaken
Go to the arcade for stimulation
Join the old school generation]
[God of the arcade they’re sedentary
They don’t come out to play Atari
Dead on their couch and a PlayStation
Wipe this sick abomination]
What!?
And so ya wanna become a Street Fighter
Well sorry kid I’m gonna be your backlighter
You’ve never ever put a feet in a game center
Too afraid to enter
Looking for a mentor
What can I say you gotta stop bein’ loner
You see my joystick and you think I got a boner
You cannot be a stoner
Gotta get up and then you gonna get down yes
Me, I wanna see you destroy your PC
All by your yourself you’re meeting your doom
Alone in your room
That’s not what I call a sonic boom
The eighties may have faded down
But I wanna see you back in town
Stop this shitty masquerade
Let's get back to the arcade
[God of the arcade you’ve been forsaken
God of the arcade you’ve been mistaken
Go to the arcade for stimulation
Join the old school generation]
[God of the arcade they’re sedentary
They don’t come out to play Atari
Dead on their couch and a PlayStation
Wipe this sick abomination]
And playing and singing the eighties have faded
We sold soul to techno
Becoming so jaded
From arcade to sofa our freedom we traded
Remember Ferrari, the sunset so mellow
Remember the songs, and the shout and the bellow
Remember yourself and remember Moe Nellow

I could listen to this sound for almost anything and this album proves it by having covers from classical music to Slayer and everything just sounds good. Maybe not Kenobit's best, but fun to listen to. pghm
